The Bluebow electric scissors are a hand-sized rechargeable cutter with a rotating blade, four speed settings between 215 and 295 rpm, an LED screen that shows the battery and the speed, and a USB-C port for charging. Cardboard, felt and leather go to a quarter inch, carpet to an eighth and thin metal sheet to 1/50 inch, and a charge lasts one and a half to two hours of cutting. Two blades come in the box and swap without tools.
Where it earns its place is the long cut: breaking down a stack of boxes after a delivery, trimming carpet to a wall, cutting a roll of fabric or vinyl straight. A dual-action safety switch means it will not start from a bump in a drawer. It belongs on cardboard, cloth and soft sheet goods, and leaves tin and timber to the snips and the saw.
