One set, five sizes of box, the same driver inside each

Every Bluebow nut driver has the same build: a Cr-V steel body with a 1/4 inch hex shank, a magnet sunk in the socket, and the size laser-marked on the side. What changes between the 12, 21, 54, 80 and 86-piece boxes is what sits around the drivers. The 12-piece box holds the drivers, SAE from 1/4 to 9/16 inch and metric from 6 to 14 mm, and little else. Add a bit holder, socket adapters and a quick-release extension and you have the 21-piece. From 54 pieces up you get S2 steel driver bits, socket adapters, extensions, universal sockets and a wing nut driver, laid out in a case with the size marked at every slot, and the 86-piece goes on to a 1/4 inch ratchet wrench, a flexible shaft and an angle driver.

The hex shank is the point. It drops into an impact driver, a drill chuck or a 1/4 inch bit holder, so a sheet metal screw, a hex head lag or a hose clamp band comes off the same tool you were already holding. The magnet holds the nut or the screw head in the socket when you reach overhead or into a cabinet, which is where a loose fastener otherwise disappears.

Keep your eyes covered when you run these on an impact driver. OSHA's eye and face protection rule asks for protection with side shields wherever particles can fly, and a nut driver that slips off a rusted hex head throws exactly that.

Questions

About Bluebow magnetic impact nut driver sets

Do Bluebow nut drivers fit your impact driver?

Yes. Every driver has a 1/4 inch hex shank with the quick-release groove, so it drops into an impact driver, a drill chuck, a bit holder or a cordless screwdriver.

Which Bluebow nut driver set should you buy if you already own bits?

The 12-piece or the 21-piece. Both hold the magnetic drivers in SAE and metric; the 54, 80 and 86-piece boxes add driver bits, adapters and extensions you may already have in a drawer.

Will a Bluebow nut driver hold the nut while you reach overhead?

Each socket carries a magnet that holds the nut or the screw head while you reach overhead or behind a panel. The sets from 54 pieces up state that the magnet is built to hold its strength over time.

What sizes will you find in a Bluebow nut driver set?

SAE from 1/4 to 9/16 inch and metric from 6 to 14 mm in every box. The 86-piece adds deep drivers in 48, 65 and 80 mm lengths and a 17 mm open-end socket.
