What a Bluebow tool does in the first minute

Our own footage: the grease gun kit out of its case and onto a tractor pivot, the nut driver on an impact driver, the lifter on a tile. No voice-over, nothing to buy in the frame.
  • The kit opens to the gun, two batteries, the charger, a rigid tube and a flexible hose
  • Bleeding air at the valve before the first fitting takes a few seconds
  • The 1/4 inch hex nut driver drops into an impact driver chuck and holds the nut by its magnet

Torque on a scale

Where 737, 900 and 960 ft-lbs sit against the bolts you meet

The figures below are the ranges vehicle makers and the tire trade publish for lug nuts, with our three impact wrench tiers marked on the same scale. The final tightening belongs to a torque wrench at the figure in your manual.

What you can hold us to

Four things the Bluebow catalog does the same way on every page

Every figure on a product page is one our own product data states for that tool: pieces, torque, pressure, flow, load, battery, speed. Nothing is carried over from a neighbor, and nothing is rounded up to sound better.

Prices change at the source, so we update them on a schedule and print the date on one page, our methods page. Where a figure here and the one at checkout disagree, trust the checkout.

That is the standard behind the Bluebow essentials.

How we update prices and figures

  • Figures from the tool itself

Torque, PSI, flow and load as printed for that model. A tool that does not state a speed has no speed on its page.

  • Prices on a schedule

We update prices several times a month and date the update on our methods page, nowhere else.

  • What is in the case

Batteries, charger, hoses, sockets and bits are listed per kit, read from the box of that kit.

Bluebow cordless grease gun kit

Since 2019

What Bluebow makes, and for whom

For 7 years the Bluebow name has gone on cordless tools and hand tool sets for people who maintain their own machines: a 1/2 inch impact wrench in three torque tiers, a 12,000 PSI grease gun kit with two batteries, magnetic nut driver sets from 12 to 86 pieces, suction cup lifters rated by the pound, an electric cutter for cardboard and fabric, and a drywall sander with its own discs. The tools are built for the garage, the farm and the job site, and sold with every figure printed where you can check it.

Before you order

How to pick a Bluebow tool in six checks

The checks that come up in questions to us, each one answered with a figure you can look up before you press a button.
  1. Start from the bolt, not the wrench

Look up the torque your vehicle maker prints for its lug nuts and hub bolts before you pick a tier. A wrench rated far above that figure is for breaking rusted fasteners loose, and the final tightening still belongs to a torque wrench.

    Read the torque guide
  2. Count the fittings on your machine

A tractor, a baler or a skid steer carries dozens of grease fittings. The flow rate in ounces per minute and the two batteries in the kit tell you how many you get through before a swap.

    Read the grease gun guide
  3. Weigh the sheet before you lift it

A load rating is a figure on a clean, dry, smooth surface. Weigh your glass, tile or granite, keep well under the rating, and never lift porous or textured stone with a cup.

    Read the lifter guide
  4. Check the shank of your driver

Every Bluebow nut driver has a 1/4 inch hex shank with a quick-release groove. It fits an impact driver, a drill chuck and a 1/4 inch bit holder. If you only ever use a 3/8 inch ratchet, this is not your set.

    See the nut driver sets
  5. Pick the piece count by the box, not the price

The 12-piece covers the common SAE and metric sizes. The 54, 80 and 86-piece sets add driver bits, adapters, an extension and a wing nut driver. If you own those already, the small set is the honest buy.

  6. Still not sure?

Tell us the bolt, the fitting or the sheet, and a person writes back with the tool that fits the job.

Questions

What people ask before buying a Bluebow tool

Where can you buy Bluebow tools?

Every product page on this site has a button that opens that exact tool, in the piece count, torque tier or color you picked, at our retail partner. That is where the price is confirmed and you check out.

Which Bluebow impact wrench tier does your truck need?

Any of the three breaks a lug nut loose: passenger cars and half-ton pickups are tightened to roughly 83 to 150 ft-lbs, against 737.5 to 960 ft-lbs of breakaway torque. Pick the 900 or 960 tier for trailers, tractors and bolts that seized over a winter. Tighten with a torque wrench at the figure in your manual; the torque guide has the chart.

Will the Bluebow grease gun fit your tractor's fittings?

Yes, it couples to standard zerk fittings through a 39.4 inch flexible hose. The kit develops up to 12,000 PSI to clear a plugged fitting and moves 5.3 or 7.05 ounces a minute depending on the kit. How to bleed the air after a refill is in the grease gun guide.

How many sockets will your Bluebow nut driver set hold?

It depends on the box: 12, 21, 54, 80 or 86 pieces. Every box has the magnetic drivers in SAE from 1/4 to 9/16 inch and metric from 6 to 14 mm on a 1/4 inch hex shank; the larger boxes add driver bits, socket adapters, extensions and a wing nut driver.

Will a Bluebow suction cup hold your sheet of glass?

The manual 8 inch pair is rated 440 lb per cup and 880 lb together, the 10 inch electric cup 662 lb, on clean, smooth, non-porous surfaces. Textured stone and dusty or wet surfaces leak. Weigh the sheet and keep well under the rating; the lifter guide explains the checks.

Will your Bluebow cordless tool come with batteries?

The grease gun kit and the impact wrench each ship with two 21 V 4.0 Ah batteries and a charger; the electric suction cup ships with four 3.0 Ah batteries; the electric scissors charge over USB-C. The drywall sander is corded.

How long has Bluebow been making the tools in your box?

Since 2019. That is 7 years of cordless and hand tools under the Bluebow name. More is on our about page.
