Bluebow is a tool brand that has put its name on cordless and hand tools since 2019. This page says what we make, who buys it and how we print the figures.

What Bluebow makes

Six kinds of tool, each on its own shelf. Magnetic impact nut driver sets with a 1/4 inch hex shank, in boxes from 12 to 86 pieces. A cordless grease gun kit that develops 12,000 PSI, with two 4.0 Ah batteries and a 39.4 inch hose. A 1/2 inch cordless impact wrench in three torque tiers, 737.5, 900 and 960 ft-lbs, brushless and sold with two batteries and four sockets. Suction cup lifters, a manual pair rated 880 lb and an electric 10 inch cup rated 662 lb. Cordless electric scissors for cardboard, carpet and fabric. And a 1000 W drywall sander with dust collection, with its own replacement discs.

The common thread is the figure. Each tool is sold by a number you can hold it to: pieces, pounds, PSI, ounces per minute, foot-pounds. We print that number on every page, read from the data of that tool, and we do not round it up.

Who the tools are for

People who maintain their own machines. The nut driver set lives in the drawer of someone who fixes appliances, hangs gutters and swaps hose clamps. The grease gun goes to a farm, a landscaping yard or a fleet shop where a tractor or a skid steer has dozens of fittings to feed. The impact wrench belongs to whoever changes their own tires and has met a bolt that laughed at a breaker bar. The lifters go to glaziers, tile setters and anyone who has tried to carry a sheet of glass by its edges. The scissors and the sander serve the garage and the renovation.

That is also who writes to us: the questions behind our guides come from the bolt, the fitting and the sheet, not from a brochure.

How long Bluebow has been around

The Bluebow name went on its first tools in 2019, so this is year 8. The range has grown one shelf at a time: the nut driver sets first, then the cordless tools, then the lifters. We are not a conglomerate with a hundred brands; the catalog on this site is the whole of what we sell.

How the figures on this site are kept

Every price comes from our last update, which we run several times a month and date on one page, our methods page. Every piece count, torque, pressure, flow, load and battery figure is read from the data of that tool, never carried across from a neighbor. Star ratings are the ones buyers gave each product family, counted once per family.

Where a page talks about what a tool should do to a bolt, a fitting, a sheet or a battery, it leans on public sources: OSHA's rules on hand tools and eye protection, NIOSH on vibration and on drywall dust, the U.S. Fire Administration and OSHA on lithium batteries, the UK safety regulator on vacuum lifting, the tire trade on wheel torque, and hand surgeons on injection injuries. We read each one before quoting it, and the guides link to them.

What we do not do

We do not sell on this site. Each button opens the exact tool at our retail partner, where the price is confirmed, the order is placed and returns are handled.

This is general information about using cordless and hand tools, not instructions for your vehicle, machine or job site and not a substitute for the manual that comes with each tool. The manual, the torque or lubrication figures from the maker of what you are working on, and your own assessment of the job come first.

Each employer is responsible for the safe condition of tools and equipment used by employees, including tools and equipment the employees bring themselves; compressed air is not to be used for cleaning except below 30 psi and then only with chip guarding and personal protective equipment. Employees exposed to flying particles must use appropriate eye or face protection, with side protection where objects can fly, and anyone who wears prescription lenses needs protection that incorporates the prescription or fits over the glasses without moving them; devices must meet ANSI/ISEA Z87.1. NIOSH Current Intelligence Bulletin 38: Vibration syndrome (publication 83-110). Vibrating hand tools such as grinders, drills and high-speed rotating hand tools can cause vibration syndrome, with numbness, pain and blanching of the fingers; NIOSH advises letting the tool do the work and gripping it as lightly as safe control allows, resting the tool on the work, keeping hands warm and dry, and a 10-minute break after each hour of continuous exposure. NIOSH: Control of drywall sanding dust exposures (publication 99-113). Drywall joint compounds are made from talc, calcite, mica, gypsum and silica, some of which irritate the eyes, nose, throat and respiratory tract; a NIOSH health hazard evaluation found drywall sanders exposed to as much as ten times the OSHA permissible exposure limit of 15 mg/m³ for total dust, with the 5 mg/m³ limit for respirable dust also exceeded. OSHA Safety and Health Information Bulletin: Preventing fire and/or explosion injury from small and wearable lithium battery powered devices (SHIB 06-20-2019). Remove lithium batteries and devices from the charger once fully charged, store them in dry, cool places, keep charging above freezing and keep all lithium batteries below about 130°F, buy replacement batteries and chargers made and approved for the device from its maker or an authorized reseller, and take a damaged battery out of service into a fire-resistant container. U.S. Fire Administration (FEMA): Battery fire safety. Stop using a lithium-ion battery that gives off an odor, changes color or shape, gets too hot, leaks or makes odd noises; store spares away from anything that can burn, keep them out of direct sunlight and hot cars, charge them between 32°F and 105°F, and recycle them instead of throwing them in the trash. UK Health and Safety Executive: Vacuum lifting equipment. A suction cup holds because atmospheric pressure on the underside of the surface presses the cup in place against a considerable vertical load; the simplest rubber cup with a handle and release valve holds loads of up to about 35 kilograms, damage to the pad and porous or loose material impair the hold and have caused loads to drop, the load at which an attachment will not fail should be at least twice the safe working load, and pads should be inspected at the start of every shift. Modern Tire Dealer, editorial by Mike Manges: Proper tire installation requires R.I.S.T. (August 20, 2025). The Tire Industry Association's R.I.S.T. procedure: remove debris from the wheel's mating surfaces, inspect every component, snug the lug nuts in a star pattern starting at 12 o'clock and crossing the center, never around in a circle, and torque to the value the vehicle manufacturer specifies with a wrench that can be calibrated. Dailiana et al., Injection injuries: seemingly minor injuries with major consequences, Hippokratia 12(1), 2008. Grease and oil are among the materials injected under the skin by high-pressure equipment; breaching the skin takes at least 100 psi while most high-pressure guns and injectors reach 2,000 to 12,000 psi, the puncture wound is small and easy to dismiss, most injuries hit the non-dominant index finger through inexperience with the equipment, and the risk of amputation is lower when surgical cleaning happens within six hours.
