Any 1/2 inch drive impact socket. The four sockets in the case cover 17, 19, 21 and 22 mm lug nuts. Use impact-rated sockets only, never chrome hand sockets, on an impact wrench.
About this tool
One wrench, three motors: 900 and 960 ft-lbs for the bolts that fought back
This is the tool for the lug nut that a breaker bar would not move and the hub bolt that spent three winters rusting. The Bluebow 1/2 inch impact wrench comes in three torque tiers, 900 and 960 ft-lbs of breakaway torque, each with a brushless motor, three speed settings and a brake that stops the anvil when you release the trigger so the nut does not spin off onto the floor. The 900 tier runs to 2,300 rpm, the 960 to 2,400. An LED under the head comes on with the trigger and stays lit for twenty seconds.
Every tier ships as a kit: two 21 V 4.0 Ah batteries, a charger, four impact sockets in 17, 19, 21 and 22 mm, an extension bar and a case. The 1/2 inch square drive takes any impact socket you already own. What the wrench does not do is set torque: snug the nuts with it in a star pattern, then finish with a torque wrench at the figure in your vehicle manual.

Brushless, three speeds
Low speed for a rusted bolt you want to feel, top speed for running nuts off a wheel. The 960 tier tops out at 2,400 rpm.
Brake stop and reverse
The anvil stops when the trigger releases, so a loosened nut stays on the stud instead of rolling under the car.
Two batteries, four sockets
A second battery charges while the first works, and the 17 to 22 mm sockets cover most passenger car and light truck lug nuts.

Before you start
An impact wrench loosens and snugs; it does not set torque. Snug lug nuts in a star pattern, then finish with a torque wrench at the figure in the vehicle manual, as the tire trade teaches. Wear eye protection with side shields: a socket that slips off a rusted nut throws chips. Grip the tool lightly, let it do the work, and rest after each hour of continuous use.
